Sonya Patel is a licensed acupuncturist in Texas, North Carolina, New York, & New Jersey. She is also certified by The National Certification Commission for Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine. She graduated with honors with a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine. Sonya completed an Acupuncture internship in China in 2002. She also holds a diploma in Human Nutrition and Food Science. Sonya has extensive Nutrition and Acupuncture research experience working with MD Anderson Cancer Research Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine, and Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Health Services. She is certified in Integrative Pain Management and Cosmetic Acupuncture. Sonya also specializes in menopausal symptoms, sleep, gynecology disorders in addition to an array of other ailments.
