WORKSHOP - OCTOBER 2006

This workshop aims to discuss in detail and provide diagnostic tools and treatment plans to IMPROVE OVARIAN RESPONSE and Maximize the Reproductive potential.

Presently, the diagnosis of a poor ovarian response/premature ovarian failure in Western Medicine leaves the patient with the “Donor” option.
This poor ovarian response, be it based on indirect FSH levels, Inhibin B levels or just the fact that the patient failed to respond to the Gonadotropin stimulation on a previous IVF, is something that spells doomsday for a couple trying to conceive.

What can we as Traditional Chinese medicine practitioners, do in-order to recognize,   isolate the different associated underlying patterns, and plan a treatment regimen with acupuncture, herbs and additional supplements to improve ovarian health.
 
The emphasis is not restricted only to ovarian response, but also includes information on topics related to uterine endometrial lining, & different treatment options that can be  implemented to  improve the uterine lining.

The topic of Premature Ovarian failure(POF) will also be addressed, as POF is a problem at the extreme end of the same spectrum.

This workshop includes demonstrations and mainly consists of discussion panels, some case scenarios will be discussed to help better understanding of these topics in relation to the clinical presentation.
